MONTAGE: open day at FAMU's Master's film editing program
We are happy to inform you that we will welcome the New Year with an open day at the FAMU Montage program. Our doors will open for you on Thursday, January 5th from 10 AM to 12 noon CET. You will have an unique opportunity to discuss your applications with the founders, mentors and the head of the program: Ivo Trajkov, Adam Brothánek and Tomáš Doruška (Head of FAMU Montage). The open day is intended primarily for those who are seriously interested in studying the program. You can participate in the open day via MS Teams online link – join in via this link. We will be looking forward to meeting you.
The core of the program is intensive work in workshops led by active professional film editors, capable of conveying their current working experience and a theoretical view of film editing to students. There are never more than six students in each workshop, which allows for providing an individualized approach to each of the students. You will love the vibrant and family-like atmosphere of the school. The Czech Republic and its capital are inspiring places to live and create. Its position in the heart of Europe has always made it a place full of energy where various cultures and ideas have always encountered each other.
We are also very happy to share the news that this year marks the graduation of the very first generation of filmmakers from the MONTAGE Master's program. This is a historic milestone in FAMU's 75 years of history. Over the five years of the program's existence, students have creatively contributed to films screened in the competition sections of prestigious festivals such as Berlinale, Cannes, Thessaloniki, Sundance and others.
