Masterclass with Rodrigo Prieto

On Monday, December 14, 2020, a masterclass with Mexican cinematographer Rodrigo Prieta will take place from 18:00.

In recent years, Rodrigo Prieto has been Martin Scorsese's main cinematographer (The Killers of the Flower Moon, Irishman, Silence, The Wolf of Wall Street), and has also worked on a number of key films in world cinema, such as Biutiful, 21 grams, Amores perros (Alejandro González Iñárritu), Alexander the Great (Oliver Stone) or 8th mile (Curtis Hanson). He made a documentary series with Oliver Stone about Fidel Castro and Vladimir Putin. He has been nominated for three Oscars and won a number of prestigious awards for his cinematographic work.

The masterclass will be moderated by two students from the cinematography department, but there will also be space for other discussants. The meeting will be held in English.

Whether it was short films I made at film school or films with Scorsese - what really matters is what is here and now, what you can do, what you want to do, and what you do.
