Student assessment of subjects is an important tool for monitoring the quality of teaching and student satisfaction. This is a unique feedback for the teacher, the department and the school management. The evaluation is primarily a guide to the long-term monitoring of the study program and suggestions for its possible changes.
If you want to take an active part in how your teaching works and what your studies at FAMU bring to you, get involved in the evaluation.
1) To improve teaching based on your needs.
2) You will find it in the KOS system, it takes about 5 minutes and each subject has its own evaluation form (questionnare).
3) It is anonymous.
4) The more answers, the more accurate the data and the more efficient the incorporation.
5) Individual teachers have access to evaluations of the subjects they teach; the head of the department to evaluations of all subjects teached at the given department; school management to all evaluations.
6) In questionnaires we find out the amount of your indirect teaching in individual subjects.
7) We focus on the quality of interdepartmental subjects and subjects of common basis.
Surely you have some feelings about your studies at FAMU that are very important to us. Maybe you like your teaching, or some parts of it, exactly as it is. We would need to know that, as well as if you are missing something in other cases. By participating in the evaluation, you express your interest in participating in ensuring that the teaching at our school is constantly top-notch and developing. In order for the process of setting up and developing teaching to be meaningful, it must take into account both the professional opinion of the teacher and the department and the opinion of students. It is a time-consuming and professionally demanding process, but we care about you being a part of it. FAMU is about you and for you. Come and help us fulfill it as much as possible.
Each subject has its own evaluation questionnaire - you can therefore provide feedback on an ongoing basis. Each questionnaire takes about 5 minutes. You can find it in the KOS - Courses > Course evaluation.
The evaluation is completely anonymous and even the application / portal administrator cannot find out who evaluated it.
... that is why the voice of each of you is important.
Tip: We understand that you have a lot on your plate and you might not have time or energy to fill in everythings we ask you to. In this case, you have the option of not filling in the open questions, and focus only on the check marks. The completed questionnaire will take you a few minutes, and it still makes sense to complete it. If you have something on your heart that cannot be expressed in any of the options offered, we will be happy if you use the space for your own comments. If you do not have the opportunity to fill in questionnaires for all subjects (there are really a very large number of them at our school), choose only:
- subjects in which more people are enrolled: higher return rate of questionnaires = higher informative value and greater accuracy of feedback,
or
- subjects you need to comment on for any reason.

For subject guarantors, department heads and school management, the evaluation of each subject is a unique opportunity to obtain precisely targeted, consistent, strictly anonymous and as objective feedback as possible from you, the students. Determining the content of study programs is largely linked to the professional assessment of teachers and program guarantors, but it is equally important to know the opinion and benefits for those who complete it.
Your answers will help us to take into account in the credit evaluation of subjects the scope of your indirect teaching - the time the student spends on the continuous fulfillment of assigned tasks, written or practical, reading required or recommended literature, preparation for attestation or any other accompanying activities related to teaching and by completing the course. The more data we get from you, the more accurate we will have a picture of your workload. The results of the survey will allow study program developers to correct and balance the number of self-study tasks so that you can pursue everything and you will have energy for your other favorite activities.
These subjects provide a general and necessary overview of audiovisual and other areas of culture and society. You share them not only with your classmates from the year or department, but also with other students. It is also an opportunity to get to know each other and share thinking in many areas and outside of your profession. Therefore, it is very important how you feel from the current form of these subjects and whether you are satisfied with them. Whether, in your view, they meet the above objectives or they offer room for improvement.
