FAMU at Berlinale

The 69th edition of the Berlinale will be held from 7 to 17 February 2019 and we will watch in suspense to see how our contestants fare.

Martin Smatana (Department of Animated Film) with Pouštět draka (The Kite) will compete in the Generation Kplus section; Diana Cam Van Nguyen’s The Little One (Department of Animated Film) will vie for the trophy as the best documentary for children (ECFA Doc Award).

Our graduate Julius Ševčík’s Skleněný pokoj (The Glass Room) will be screened at the European Film Market; the Berlinale Talents tuition programme has three participants for this year &nda sh; and all three are our graduates. They are director Tereza Nvotová, producer Radovan Síbrt and editor Evženie Brabcová.
