Dean’s Decree No. 10/2020 Regarding employee’s personal presence at FAMU, business trips abroad and the presence of foreign persons in FAMU buildings after the end of the state of emergency

Personal presence of academic workers during the teaching and examination as part of university studies is permitted subject to the following requirements and exemptions:

  • Teaching is allowed only in areas that, at full capacity of students registered for the relevant subject, allow for maintaining at least a 1.5-metre distance between persons. If this is not possible, the teaching (examination or consultations) will take place in the distance mode.
  • Academic workers may stay and move within the Departments as part of their activity without protective equipment covering their mouth and nose, provided that a distance of at least 1.5 metres is maintained. Nevertheless, FAMU recommends to continue wearing mouth and nose protection on the premises of the school, especially in enclosed areas and areas with limited ventilation.
  • FAMU recommends the heads of Departments and workplaces to pay increased attention and lend support to employees who may suffer from anxiety or stress and, if necessary, to consult the school psychologist.
  • For academic workers who fall within an endangered group of population (elderly people, people with chronic diseases including hypertension, lung or heart problems or diabetes; people undergoing cancer treatment or other immunosuppressive treatment; and workers whose close relatives fall within high risk groups), FAMU recommends to continue exercising distance teaching, consulting and examination.

Personal presence of technical/economic personnel is governed by clauses 4 and 5 of the Operational Order of AMU Rectorate.

International business trips scheduled for June to August will be permitted only in inevitable cases, with preference for EU and Schengen Area countries indicated as countries with a low risk of contracting COVID-19 infection by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Each international business trip must be approved by the line manager as well as by the Dean and/or by the Vice-Dean for International Relations (for employee mobility) and/or by the Vice-Dean for Research and Development (for trips related to research activities).

Foreign persons are only allowed to stay in FAMU buildings (Lažanský Palace, FAMU rooms at Tržiště 20, FAMU Studio, Beroun Accommodation and Training Facility, Institute of Intermedia facilities) subject to an appointment with a FAMU made in advance. On entering the premises, such persons shall sigh a written solemn declaration on the absence of an infectious virus disease over the course of the previous two weeks. The text of the solemn declaration is available on the website and also at the entrance to each building.

The aforementioned measures take effect on 3 June 2020.
