Ingeborg Radok Žádná appointed the Rector of AMU on 2nd of February 2021

Ingeborg Radok Žádná was officially appointed the Rector of AMU in Prague Castle on 2 February 2021. She will assume her position on 15 February, replacing the current Rector Jan Hančil.

Ingeborg Radok Žádná works at AMU as the Vice-Rector for International Relationships and Artistic Activity as well as a teacher at HAMU’s Music Management Department. The Academic Senate of AMU chose the new Rector from four candidates on 23 November 2020. A laureate of the French title of the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters and a cello player who has held several managerial positions in cultural institutions as well as on grant committees and university councils, she was nominated for the office with support from collective bodies of the school and from one-fourth of the students of her Faculty as well as 12.5% of students across AMU, a first in AMU’s history. Ingeborg Radok Žádná is becoming the second female Rector of AMU.
