FAMU Library: From 1 December, you can use the Screen Studies Collection databases

The FAMU library acquired a yearlong subscription to three databases of Screen Studies Collection. Two of them (AFI Catalog and Film Index International) provide information on films from the early era to the present. The third one (FIAF database) offers texts from professional journals.

The AFI (American Film Institute) catalog contains data about American films. In the records, you will find synopsis, cast and crew information, filming locations, production details, list of references etc.
The Film Index International (provided by British Film Institute) contains data on films and personalities from over 170 countries.
The FIAF enables access to International Index to Film Periodicals Database and can serve as a complement to the EBSCO database, which has been at your disposal since October this year (FIAF offers many magazines not available in EBSCO). All three databases can be searched at the same time, combining and complementing each other – the user can both get information about specific films and find theoretical texts about them.
