Ellis Freeman's seminar Writer's Gym at the Department of Scriptwriting and Dramaturgy

The Department of Scriptwriting and Dramaturgy hosted Ellis Freeman’s seminar, Writer’s Gym on 24–26 November. Organised by Assoc. Prof. Tereza Brdečková, the event was held under the auspices of the mentoring programme. The seminar offered the students an opportunity to rethink their approach to writing, shed bad habits and boredom stemming from overwork, and flex their mental muscles. Scriptwriting is a matter of solving creative problems. In his seminar, Ellis offered potential solutions using funny games and tricks. Doing so, he draws on work with the subconscious and improvised drama techniques.
