Announcement of the election to the Academic Senate of FAMU

As a result of the expiry of term of office for four members of the Academic Senate of FAMU (“AS FAMU”), AS FAMU announces a by-election. The by-election will be held on 8 to 10 March 2022.

The election will be held on 8, 9, and 10 March in a hybrid mode:

From 8 March 10:00 AM to 9 March 5:00 PM: electronically at https://volby.amu.cz/
On 10 March from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM: in the presence form in the FAMU building at Smetanovo nábřeží 2, classroom U7.

The positions to be elected for AS FAMU include three senators from among the academic workers and one senator from among the students. Every member of the academic community has the right to vote. Every member of the academic community may run for a senator subject to the following exceptions: the senator position is incompatible with the Dean and Vice-Dean positions, and candidateship is incompatible with the membership in the election panel. If a student is also an academic worker, they may only be elected to the teachers’ chamber. More information is available in the AS FAMU election rules.

The deadline for nominations of candidates for AS FAMU in paper form, including the signature of the proponent and the written consent of the candidate, was set at 7 February 2022, 2:00 PM, to be delivered to the Chair of AS FAMU to the secretariat of FAMU’s Dean’s Office.

The list of candidates/nominees will be published on the FAMU website in the news section and on FAMU’s official notice board no later than 15 February 2022, and an assembly of FAMU’s academic community will be held on 3 March 2022 from 6:00 PM (in the U1 classroom or online, subject to the current epidemic situation).

On behalf of AS FAMU
Petr Marek, Chair
