Hands-on mentoring: Jules Roux (FI) took part in the shooting of Dumont's new film

Jules Roux, a student of FAMU International's Directing Cinema and Digital Media programme took part in the shooting of Bruno Dumont's new film at the seaside resort of Wimereux.

"After co-hosting one of the masterclasses with Bruno Dumont in March, I got the chance to participate in the shooting of his new film, L’Empire. I spent three weeks in the North of France, working with the directing and the location managing teams. It was a wonderful opportunity to be on the set of such an ambitious feature film and to witness Mr. Dumont’s directorial approach after having discussed it with him. The work atmosphere was very nice, with a very dedicated and kind crew," said Jules about his experience.

FAMU is currently discussing further options for hands-on stays of this type.
