The Audiovisual Talent Week, the Audiovisual Pitch 2023: open call

Once again, FAMU was invited to the Audiovisual Talent Week 2023 pitching forum to be held in Barcelona from 13 to 17 November 2023. It is possible to nominate five audiovisual works from the Faculty.

The intra-Faculty selection will take place in round 1. You can apply for the Audiovisual Talent Week using an application form – here -  that will be open until 30 May 2023 and is accessible only from school e-mail accounts. The final selection will also depend on the comments from the leadership of the Department, which FAMU’s International Relationships Department will request; therefore, students will not be required to obtain it. Faculty nominations will be announced on 30 June 2023 and the list will be posted on FAMU’s website.

Each project team has 7 minutes for presenting the project and 7 minutes of questions, comments and feedback from the attending producers and professionals. The pitch sessions are held in front of an audience composed of professionals from the audiovisual sector, institutional representatives, and students and teachers from the participating universities. After the pitch sessions, individual meetings take place between project members and producers, so they can start discuss potential agreements and future collaborations. There are also other parallel activities such as workshops, master classes and networking meetings.

During the last edition, 50 projects from 36 universities were presented in front of 170 professionals and almost 500 attendees. Here you can find a summary of last year’s edition.
