SH_T HAPPENS by Miša Mihalyová and David Štumpf to premiere globally at the Venice Film Festival

A short film directed by David Štumpf and Miša Mihályiová (Department of Animated Film of FAMU), SH_T HAPPENS will premiere at the 76edition of the prestigious Venice Film Festival

SH_T HAPPENS tells the story of an exhausted maintenance worker and his frustrated wife. The third character is a widowed stag drowning its sorrow in alcohol. Trying to tackle their personal issues, the characters find themselves in a difficult-to-resolve love triangle. Viewers will see it as part of the Orizzonti short film section, which will introduce 12 short films out of a total of 1,500 entrants. “This is the global premiere for Czech cinema in this section. The Venice Festival was founded in 1932 and is considered the earliest film festival in the world. It is part of the Venice Biennial, one of the premier contemporary art exhibitions and festivals. This is why we are immensely happy about the planned premiere,” says David Štumpf, one of the film’s directors.
